De fyra vännerna från Australien har redan över 100 miljoner visningar på YouTube. Deras EP ""She Looks So Perfect"" har toppat listorna i 55 länder. Allting började med att Luke (sång), Michael (gitarr) och Calum (bas) som gick i samma skola i Sydney började lägga upp covers på populära låtar på YouTube. I december 2011 fick de sällskap av Ashton (trummor) och där med hade 5 Seconds Of Summer bildats. I vintras startade gruppen sin egna label Hi Or Hey Records i samarbete med Capitol Records UK. Albumet ""5 Seconds of Summer"" innehåller singlarna ""She Looks So Perfect"" (etta på iTunes i Sverige) och ""Don"'t Stop"". ""We decided to self-title it "'5 Seconds of Summer"' because it really represents who we are and who we want to be as a band.
