Chameleons: Strange Times

Chameleons: Strange Times

Ginza

"'Strange Times"' opens with a furious burst of nihilistic guitar riffing before the pretty damn full on drum and bass frenzy that is ""Mad Jack"" enters. From that very first moment "'Strange Times"' grabs your attention and does not let up for one minute. The album still holds up after so many years (first release was in 1986). "'Swamp Thing"' perfectly exemplifies the whole Chameleons experience, sounding like the end of the world with its trademark synthesizer and epic soundscapes. Disc Two: (Bonus Tracks) opens with the single version of ""Tears"" including the fantastic middle eight stuck at the end which had been missing from the album version and ends with a killer version of the Beatles"' ""Tomorrow Never Knows"".
