Bill Haley came when William John Clifton Haley, 1925 in Highland Park, Michigan / USA to the world. He began his career as a country singer in "'"' Down Homers "'"'. In 1948 he founded "'"' The Four Aces Of Western Swing "'"'. In 1949 he named his new band "'"' The Saddlemen "'"'. However, his country titles were not very successful. In 1951, Haley Country and R & B began to run together and so he created his own style. The R & B classics "'"' Rocket 88 "'"' - an original by Jackie Brenston and "'"' Rock The Joint "'"' - an R & B hit by Jimmy Preston, from the year 1949 - it was not enough though for the national charts, but Haley and his men attracted enormous attention. The year 1953, with "'"' Crazy Man Crazy "'"' and "'"' Fractured "'"' the first chart success. 1954 brought the title "'"' Shake Rattle And Roll "'"' and Dim Dim The Lights "'"' Additional charts successes. But in 1955 he succeeded with "'"' Bill Haley & His Comets"' "'an international career as"'"' Father of Rock and Roll "' "'. Trigger of rock & roll boom was the feature film "'"' Blackboard Jungle "'"' (German: "'"' Blackboard Jungle "'"'), with Glenn Ford in the lead role. In the film, Bill Haley was not to be seen, but his number "'"' Rock Around The Clock "'"' could be heard there. The record became a million seller. In the following years Haley"'s plates appeared worldwide in regularity on front seats of the respective charts. Bill Haley died in 1981
