When Dennie (Sally Field) returns home from living with hippies for a year, she must face her disapproving parents and an ex boyfriend who is eager to take her back. On top of this, her younger sister, Susie (Lane Bradbury), is growing more enamoured with the life that Dennie has just left behind her.
